Job Purpose The Social Media and Partnerships Coordinator supports the Associate Director of Social Media and Partnerships in creating and curating an engaging and authentic social presence for the university. This role involves creating relevant and engaging content across social media platforms, conducting social listening, and fostering interactions with our audience to promote brand awareness and positive opinion. The coordinator works directly with content producers across the university to ensure cohesive and effective communication across all digital channels and supports the Associate Director with the university’s partnership agreements.
Essential Functions
Define, develop, and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
Collaborate with teams to ensure all content aligns with brand voice/vision/campaign.
Engage with relevant audiences to build following and increase student enrollment; monitor and report on social media conversations and trends.
Track, report, and analyze social media campaigns to assess effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
Provide marketing and communications support for partner agreements.
Participate in the training of other communicators on effective use of social media.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
WORK CONTEXT
Job Reports to: Associate Director.
Leadership Accountability: Implements operating plans.
Customer Accountability: Interfaces with customers outside the S/C/D.
Freedom to Act: Subject to general input from supervisor.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, New Media, Communications, or a related field.
Graduation from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Experience
Intermediate (3 to 4 years job‑related experience).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working understanding of social media management and content creation strategies for various social platforms.
Knowledge of social media campaign management, assessment and listening tools.
Experience in data‑driven decision‑making.
Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video) in a proactive and impactful way.
Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Curious and eager to learn new skills as social trends evolve, ensuring branded content is relevant for each channel.
Collaborative and able to work with cross‑functional teams to maximize content creation and promotion with various campus partners.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
