The Opportunity Are you passionate about building quality homes and ensuring customer satisfaction? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a drive to excel in the construction industry? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! In this role, you will assist in building high-quality residential homes under the guidance of a Superintendent or Project Manager. You will oversee the entire construction process, from groundbreaking to final walkthrough, ensuring every home meets our standards for quality and customer satisfaction. This is a fantastic training opportunity designed to prepare you for a future role as a Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and Collaborate: Assist in planning and directing trade partners to build high-quality homes.

Supervise Construction: Oversee all construction phases, ensuring safety and OSHA compliance.

Track and Report: Provide daily updates and compile milestone reports.

Manage Schedules: Coordinate and monitor trade partners throughout the construction process.

Quality Control: Approve invoices, ensure timely completion, and maintain cleanliness.

Customer Focus: Strive for high customer satisfaction and resolve any concerns.

Engage with Buyers: Conduct orientations and ensure a smooth transition for new homeowners.

Teamwork: Work with the sales team and participate in Community Teams.

Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe work site and perform inspections.

Regulatory Adherence: Ensure trade partners follow their Scope of Work and manage permits and inspections.

Inspector Interaction: Work with various inspectors throughout the homebuilding process.

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

A vocational degree or certificate in Construction Management is a plus.

At least 1-2 years of experience in homebuilding or a related real estate industry, or relevant construction management training.

Customer Service: Proven track record of outstanding service and performance.

Leadership: Ability to motivate teams, develop employees, and achieve results.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong people skills, capable of handling various personalities.

Action-Oriented: Driven to complete projects and tasks successfully.

Customer-Centric: Focused on finding solutions from the customer's perspective.

Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, able to convey complex concepts.

Teamwork: Effective team player, valuing others' ideas and cooperating willingly.

Decision-Making: Quick and accurate decisions based on facts and data.

Professional Conduct: Conduct business ethically with buyers, trade partners, officials, and coworkers.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Requirements

Ability to work full-time with flexibility for overtime and the “On-Call” program when needed.

Valid driver's license required to drive/travel as needed within designated region between communities.

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

Ability to move about work location.

Ability to drive/travel as needed.

Ability to walk up and down stairs.

Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand.

Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/IT/Land/Marketing/Sales/Studio).

Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/Land/Sales).

Conduct business professionally and ethically.

This position is located in the field at a community within the division. Location is to be determined. #LI-onsite
