About the Role: The Associate Sales Engineer supports the Sales Engineering and Commercial teams by assisting with technical sales activities, customer communication, and quote development for power distribution solutions. This role is ideal for early‑career engineers or technically inclined professionals who are interested in building a foundation in technical sales and customer engagement. The Associate Sales Engineer works closely with senior Sales Engineers, engineering, and production teams to ensure accurate information, responsive service, and smooth handoffs throughout the sales process. This position offers hands‑on learning, mentorship, and a clear path for growth into more advanced sales engineering roles.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Sales Engineers and external sales teams with preparation of quotes, proposals, and supporting technical documentation.

Assist with customer inquiries by gathering requirements, clarifying specifications, and escalating technical questions as needed.

Review basic customer drawings, electrical specifications, and project details to support solution alignment.

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of customer interactions, opportunities, and quotes in CRM systems (HubSpot).

Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and production teams to confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery expectations.

Help track quote progress and follow up with internal teams to support timely customer responses.

Participate in customer calls and meetings alongside senior Sales Engineers to gain exposure to technical sales discussions.

Support pricing accuracy and documentation consistency throughout the sales cycle.

Assist with order handoff from sales to production by ensuring required documentation is complete and accurate.

Stay current on Maverick Power products, manufacturing capabilities, and applicable industry standards.

Represent Maverick Power with professionalism and responsiveness in all internal and external communications.

Demonstrate a deep commitment to understanding customer needs, challenges, and goals, and delivering solutions that create meaningful value.

Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences through proactive communication, empathy, and responsiveness.

Build strong relationships with customers by listening actively, anticipating needs, and ensuring satisfaction at every touchpoint.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field (required or in progress).

0–2 years of experience in an engineering, technical support, sales support, or customer‑facing role.

Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems, power equipment, or industrial manufacturing concepts.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a willingness to engage in customer‑facing conversations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to CRM tools is a plus.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow within a technical sales career path.

Preferred Qualifications:

Internship or entry‑level experience in technical sales, inside sales, engineering support, or manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with reading electrical drawings, schematics, or technical documentation.

Demonstrated interest in transitioning into a Sales Engineer or technical commercial role long term.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing on the manufacturing floor and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to navigate the warehouse and reach items both high and low.

Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves, etc.).

Must be able to lift up to twenty‑five pounds at times.

Work Environment: May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings.

Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
