
Assistant Designer (Girls)
Onsite NYC 5 days a week
Salary: 50-65k DOE
A leading kids’ lifestyle brand is seeking a Girls’ Assistant Designer to join their growing team. This is a full-time, 5-days-onsite role based in New York City, offering hands‑on experience in the girlswear category and the opportunity to grow within a collaborative, creative environment.
What You’ll Do:
Support the design process from concept through development for girls’ separates
Create and maintain tech packs and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Produce clean, accurate flat sketches; assist with graphics and prints as needed
Handle data entry and track product changes throughout the development cycle
Troubleshoot development issues with cross‑functional partners
Meet deadlines and respond positively to direction and feedback in a fast‑paced setting
What We’re Looking For:
Degree in Apparel or Fashion Design (or equivalent experience)
1–2 years of design experience; internships considered
Previous Kidswear or interest in Kidswear design
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; Photoshop is a plus
Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple styles/details
Strong communication skills with a collaborative, positive mindset
Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities
