
Regional Group & Event Sales Manager

Proper Hospitality is seeking a commercially-driven Regional Group & Event Sales Manager to generate group room and event revenue across three distinct lifestyle properties: Hotel June West L.A., Avalon Palm Springs, and Ingleside Estate.
Position Overview This is an individual contributor role designed for a proven on-property seller ready to step into a multi-property position. The role carries a personal booking goal for Group Rooms and Events and is responsible for managing the full sales cycle through contract execution, before handing off confirmed programs to on-property sales and events teams.
Based in Los Angeles, the role supports multiple markets and includes regular travel for client meetings, site inspections, and large-scale events. Success in this role is defined by consistently achieving sales goals and meeting KPIs set by sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Drive group room and event revenue across Hotel June West LA, Avalon Palm Springs, and Ingleside Estate
Carry a personal booking goal supported by an uncapped, lucrative Sales Incentive Plan
Manage the sales process from initial inquiry or outreach through contract signature
Transition confirmed business to on-property teams with clear program context to support successful execution
Business Development & Account Management
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of group and event business across multiple markets
Generate business through a combination of proactive prospecting and inbound opportunities
Build and manage relationships with corporate planners, third-party agencies, and event professionals
Conduct client meetings, site inspections, and property tours across all assigned hotels
Represent Proper Hospitality professionally in the local LA market and beyond
Participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and client entertainment
Travel as needed to support large programs, site inspections, and key client relationships
Performance & KPI Accountability
Meet or exceed KPIs established by Sales Leadership, including but not limited to prospecting activity, client engagement and entertainment, conversion performance, and overall revenue contribution
Maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management and follow-up
Systems & Administration
Manage leads, accounts, and bookings using TripleSeat, Cvent, HMS Infor, Knowland, and related platforms
Prepare contracts, proposals, and sales documentation in line with Proper standards
Maintain accurate and organized records to support visibility and forecasting
Qualifications Experience
Minimum 5+ years of hotel group and event sales experience with demonstrated personal production
Prior experience selling events and group room blocks within a hotel environment required
Experience within lifestyle or luxury hospitality preferred
Skills & Attributes
Strong commercial instincts with the ability to close both event-led and room-driven business
Confident relationship builder with a polished, professional presence
Highly organized, self-motivated, and accountable
Comfortable managing multiple properties and priorities simultaneously
Proficient with TripleSeat, Cvent, HMS Infor, Knowland, and modern sales tools, including AI-enabled prospecting platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
