
Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales & Technical Support Representative works directly with customers and channel partners to support and sell automation products. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, provides first-level technical support, prepares quotations, and collaborates closely with assigned Outside Sales team members to develop new business and advance existing sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain working knowledge of automation products, their applications, and competitive offerings
Learn and follow organizational workflows, systems, and operating procedures
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and proactively initiate outreach to prospective customers
Prepare and deliver customer quotations in a timely and accurate manner
Respond to customer inquiries related to products, pricing, delivery, quality issues, and other requirements
Identify customer needs, research solutions, and guide customers to resolution
Capture and advance sales opportunities by leveraging internal resources and customer relationships
Support territory management and customer relationships in partnership with Outside Sales representatives
Collaborate with internal teams such as Order Management, Engineering, Finance, and other functions to ensure timely customer support
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of experience in technical support, customer service, or sales
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal)
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced sales environment
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with ERP and CRM systems
Technical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical curiosity
