Downtown Nashville Nissan is looking for a dedicated Parts Specialist! The Parts Specialist is extremely knowledgeable about automotive parts and accessories and can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer requirements in person or on the phone. Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers (both retail and internal) in a friendly, professional manner, answering questions and providing product information and recommendations. Use physical and electronic parts catalogs to accurately identify and source the correct parts and accessories for customer needs. Process orders for both in-stock and special-order parts, generate sales invoices, and manage payments and returns. Monitor inventory levels, stock shelves, perform cycle counts, and identify slow-moving or out-of-stock items to place orders with suppliers. Cross-sell related parts, accessories, and special offers to customers, aiming to expose them to the full product line. Handle phone inquiries, provide price quotes, update customers on part shipment status, and coordinate with service technicians and suppliers. Essential Qualifications & Skills
Education:
A high school diploma or GED is typically required. Technical Knowledge:
A strong understanding of automotive parts, systems, and common repair procedures is necessary. Customer Service:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are vital for effectively interacting with customers. Computer Proficiency:
Ability to use computerized parts catalogs, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and inventory management software is essential. Organizational Skills:
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management are needed for inventory tracking, record-keeping, and managing multiple tasks. Teamwork:
The ability to work effectively as part of a larger team, collaborating with service advisors, technicians, and other parts staff. Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift heavy boxes and stand for extended periods. Prior automotive experience preferred but not required.
