
Service Deli Manager

As a Service Deli Manager, you will exemplify and ensure strong customer service in all areas of the job while providing superior quality products that exceed customer expectations. You'll lead a team to maintain fresh inventory, oversee food preparation, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Main responsibilities include: Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast and friendly service. Assist customers with product suggestions, special orders, and food preparation ideas. Oversee all deli operations including food preparation, cooking, and serving. Implement proper product preparation and packaging techniques. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and visual appeal of the deli area. Schedule, supervise, and train department employees. Monitor inventory levels, control shrink, and ensure freshness. Prepare sales and inventory reports; conduct physical inventory every 4 weeks. Ensures temperatures are maintained in all phases of preparation, display, and storage. Ensure compliance with labeling laws, safety regulations, and company standards. Perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate department records. What we are searching for skills and competencies include: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership ability to supervise and train employees. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and inventory control. Ability to operate deli equipment and computer systems. Qualifications: Previous experience in deli operations or food service management preferred. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for long periods. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Temperature-controlled environment with frequent exposure to refrigerated and freezer conditions. Occasional travel may be required.
