Job Description Arc is looking for a highly strategic, client-facing
Director of Commerce Experience
to drive retail strategy within the Amazon ecosystem for our high-profile CPG client!
About the role:
You will serve as a critical part of a “best in breed” commerce experience practice, pulling from the leading minds within Publicis Groupe’s media agencies (Publicis Media, Spark, Starcom, and Performics).
You will be instrumental in building out a distinct and industry-defining commerce media team at Arc while leveraging the tools and knowledge within Publicis.
You will work cross-functionally with Arc’s business leadership, strategy, creative/content, data/tech and analytics teams to create data-driven commerce media solutions for specifc retailers.
You will be responsible for the agency practice of integrating the appropriate vehicles to deliver holistic marketing strategies that drive business outcomes of share, household growth and ROI.
You will educate internal client teams on Amazon capabilities and create strategies that bring broad-reaching channels/tactics and conversion driving channels/tactics into harmony, taking into consideration things like frequency, creative strategy and consumer experience.
About you:
You know how to navigate the dynamic, fast changing Amazon commerce media landscape (AMC, DSP, Pacvue, etc.), possess a deep knowledge of and extensive experience working withing Amazon’s ecosystems, and have a proven track record of developing Amazon integrated strategies and plans which have resulted in incremental growth for your clients.
You are a versatile media expert who specializes in building and advising on Amazon strategies across search, DSP and national media integration.
You love data and reporting and are excited about leveraging data-driven insights to inform complex, large-scale media strategy.
You’re both a builder and connector by nature who thrives in a collaborative environment with an eye to problem-solving.
You have an inviting personality that can effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences.

PLEASE NOTE: While there are no specific location requirements for this role, the client and team operate on East Coast hours and applicants should be willing to accommodate that schedule. Priority will be given to candidates who are commutable to a Publicis Groupe office and willing to commit to a 3 day/week onsite hybrid schedule.
ALSO NOTE: This role requires prior experience working within the Amazon ecosystem, either client-side or as an agency partner.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressively-responsible experience building and leading digital commerce media strategies for CPG brands including significant experience working within the Amazon ecosystem.
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or related media field preferred; experience may be substituted.
Experience & expertise driving Amazon strategy, tactical planning and partner management in the discipline of retail/shopper marketing within an agency, retailer’s media organization or CPG’s trade or customer marketing department.
Current knowledge of Shopper Marketing (digital & traditional) at Amazon including experience with Amazon Marketing Cloud; prior experience working directly on or for Amazon platforms is strongly preferred.
Prior experience supporting home care, health & beauty, or similar CPG brands preferred.
Clear understanding of first, second, and third-party data and how to apply it within the commerce strategies; specifically, how to integrate key insights from an audience strategy into addressable media plans within a holistic integrated ecosystem.
Experience communicating with and presenting to executive-level clients on a regular basis.
Strategic thinker in the development of Amazon strategy and management of day-to-day business.
Adept at analyzing results, synthesizing data, drawing out insights & implications, and developing insightful and actionable reporting and recommendations.
Experience working within a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team on shopper-focused campaigns.
Experience leading strategy as a part of a larger IAT.
Experience partnering directly with clients to confidently present work, articulate rationale for approach in the context of both business and user needs, and workshop and brainstorm iterative changes to ongoing projects.
Ability to identify, synthesize, respond to, and resolve issues and conflicts as they arise.
Sound decision-making ability rooted in agency, client, and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities
Lead the development of insight-backed media strategies for the agency’s CPG clients at Amazon
Build client yearly budget breakout/forecast by category and brand
Connections Planning / Commerce path development
Work with media agency partners to develop strategies that integrate national media and commerce media within Amazon’s ecosystem
Have an understanding of Amazon’s capabilities to track data that will help inform strategies via AMC, Pacvue, etc.
Data and Reporting
Work within Arc’s existing tools to derive insights-backed plans for evergreen and tentpole campaigns
Use data to plan lead-in during tentpole and lead-out strategies for major Amazon and client tentpoles
Use data to forecast and strategize on long-tail conversion goals, working closely with the AMC team to create reports and analyze data
Collaboration with Media Agency
Work with client’s hands on key media agency to collaborate on strategies, tacticals and reporting
Create an IAT environment that pushes strategic thought across audiences, channels, placements, etc.
Coach, partner and mentor
Advise & partner with your Arc CX team and Arc’s Business Leadership
Provide day-to-day leadership and mentoring to clients, commerce media team, creative team and national/brand commerce team
Be the go-to expert in Amazon and collaborate across the agency
Keep up to date with, and vet, emerging platforms and innovation trends specific to Amazon and regularly share new opportunities with our clients and agency. Creating thought leadership pieces and POVs
Develop and publish POVs internally and for our clients on the value of different media vehicles (strengths and weaknesses) at the retail level
Partner with the other Commerce Media team to share learnings and best practices, and define and track performance of Amazon environment
Work closely with the Amazon Commerce Media team to support and develop best-in-class delivery of campaign reporting, insights and recaps
Createtraining and real-time coaching on best-in-class Amazon strategy

Compensation Range: $129,485-$207,324 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
