This role follows a hybrid schedule, with regular on-site presence and the option to work remotely two days per week. Responsibilities
HR Systems Oversight, Administration & Analytics (40%)
Lead the governance and day‑to‑day administration of HR technology platforms – including Workday (Core HR, Benefits, Absence, and Learning), iCIMS, and SharePoint workflows – ensuring system reliability, data accuracy, and alignment with organizational needs. Provide cross-functional support for Workday modules including Payroll and Time Tracking, along with key third‑party integrations. Oversee system configuration, troubleshooting, release planning, vendor management, and all incident/request workflows. Serve as a key partner to internal stakeholders, offering guidance on system functionality, process optimization, and integration opportunities. Strengthen user adoption by developing training resources, documentation, and communication strategies. Lead HR analytics efforts by delivering accurate dashboards, reports, and insights that drive informed decision‑making. Ensure HR system practices support compliance, data governance standards, and regulatory requirements. Systems Strategy, Improvement & Project Leadership (40%)
Define and execute the long‑term HR systems and data strategy in alignment with organizational priorities. Lead end‑to‑end system projects, from scoping and requirements gathering to vendor evaluation, testing, rollout, and post‑implementation change management. Manage HR systems project pipelines and collaborate with Finance, Technology, and other partners to maintain cross-functional alignment. Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize processes, enhancing both efficiency and user experience. Stay current with emerging HR technology trends and innovations to ensure the organization remains forward‑thinking and competitive. Oversee smooth transitions from project implementation to ongoing operational support. Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration (20%)
Supervise and support HR systems team members, providing coaching, performance management, and workload prioritization. Cultivate a collaborative, solution‑focused culture that emphasizes continuous improvement and accountability. Establish long-term goals and annual objectives for the HR systems function in partnership with HR leadership. Build strong relationships with colleagues across HR, Finance, Technology, and research/program areas to ensure cohesive systems support and strategy alignment. Contribute to broader HR initiatives and participate in cross‑functional planning as needed. Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HRIS/HCM systems (Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft) and HR data management. At least 5 years of supervisory or management experience. Minimum of 3 years of direct Workday experience; large-scale Workday implementation or administration experience strongly preferred. Relevant certifications (Workday, CCP, CEBS, etc.) are advantageous. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrated ability to lead HR technology optimization and ensure platform performance. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent project management capabilities, with a track record of delivering on complex deadlines. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. Strong analytical abilities, including experience with data auditing, interpretation, and solution development. High degree of professionalism and ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong communication and presentation skills. Working knowledge of regulations and standards related to compensation, payroll, benefits, retirement programs, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and disability.
