
Title: Product Specialist
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite in NYC, 2 days Remote
Position Overview
This role supports and elevates the Marketplace and Product teams by owning the
end-to-end product setup, data integrity, and launch process , while also providing
operational leadership across people, workflows, and strategy . The Senior Product Specialist will manage product data from multiple sources, oversee execution across teams, and continuously improve systems and processes to support scale.
In addition to hands-on product creation, this role will
lead day-to-day execution, mentor junior team members, and drive cross-functional alignment
across vendors, creative, marketing, web, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate product launches.
Key Responsibilities
Product Data, Content & Photography Management
Own the collection, organization, editing, quality control, categorization, and upload of product data and imagery across internal systems and the website. Establish and enforce data quality standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness across all product records. Review product photography, coordinate retouching needs, and ensure assets meet brand and technical standards. Team Leadership & Management
Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to junior Product Specialists or coordinators, ensuring priorities are clear and work is executed accurately and on time. Support onboarding, training, and knowledge-sharing for product workflows, tools, and best practices. Act as a point of escalation for product setup issues, helping the team troubleshoot and resolve blockers efficiently. Project & Process Management
Own and manage product launch timelines from purchase through live status across all channels. Build, document, and continuously optimize product setup and launch processes to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability. Use project management tools (Jira, Monday, Teams, Excel) to plan work, assign tasks, track progress, and identify risks. Proactively identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across data management, vendor communication, and cross-team workflows.
Vendor & Partner Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors to gather product specifications, imagery, pricing, and availability. Ensure vendors meet data, timeline, and quality requirements; follow up as needed to resolve gaps. Coordinate partnership collections, including managing communication, preparing decks, and aligning designs and deliverables. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy
Act as a liaison between product, marketing, creative, web, and operations teams to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and launch readiness. Partner with leadership to help define product rollout strategies and execution plans. Provide visibility into launch status, risks, and resource needs, enabling informed decision-making. Data Ownership & Continuous Improvement
Ensure all new and existing product data remains accurate, current, and aligned with internal systems. Analyze recurring issues or bottlenecks and recommend strategic solutions. Perform additional related duties as needed to support product growth and operational excellence. Qualifications
Experience & Education
4-year degree or equivalent work experience. 4-6 years of experience in consumer goods product development, product operations, or e-commerce product management. Experience working in fast-paced, multi-SKU environments preferred. Technical & Functional Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with ERP systems and website product creation (Magento experience a strong plus). Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Monday, or similar. Adobe Suite proficiency (Photoshop required; broader Adobe experience a plus).
