The organization operates through a network of MGAs and underwriting businesses supported by strong carrier and reinsurance relationships, deep technical underwriting expertise, and a highly entrepreneurial culture.The organization is known for attracting experienced underwriting talent and empowering teams to build specialist businesses, creating an environment that combines the agility of an MGA with the resources and stability of a global platform.## The OpportunityThe company is seeking its first **Global Head of Compliance** to establish and lead compliance oversight across its international MGA platform. This is a highly visible role working closely with executive leadership, legal, underwriting, and operational teams to ensure regulatory compliance and governance standards are consistently applied across jurisdictions.This is not a traditional oversight role. The successful candidate will play a key role in building and embedding compliance processes across a growing organization, helping translate existing frameworks into practical, scalable operating standards while supporting ongoing business expansion.The position offers significant global exposure and the opportunity to shape how compliance operates across a fast-growing international platform.## Key Responsibilities* Lead and oversee regulatory compliance activities across multiple MGAs operating in the U.S., UK, and Europe.* Implement and operationalize global compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures across the organization.* Serve as the primary compliance contact for carrier partners, leading and coordinating carrier audit activity.* Ensure underwriting programs operate in accordance with delegated authority agreements, binder terms, and capacity provider requirements.* Oversee licensing requirements and regulatory obligations across U.S. states and applicable international jurisdictions.* Partner with underwriting and business leadership to integrate compliance into day-to-day operations in a commercially practical manner.* Identify compliance risks and develop appropriate processes and controls to mitigate exposure.* Support compliance training initiatives and promote a strong culture of regulatory awareness across the business.* Advise senior leadership on compliance considerations related to international expansion and new program development.## Candidate Profile* 10-15+ years of insurance compliance experience within an MGA, MGU, specialty carrier, or program business environment.* Strong knowledge of U.S. state insurance regulations and licensing requirements; New York and California experience strongly preferred.* Experience managing or leading carrier audits and acting as a primary compliance liaison with capacity providers.* Familiarity with delegated authority structures and program governance within an MGA environment.* Exposure to UK/EU regulatory frameworks or multinational insurance operations preferred.* Demonstrated ability to build or enhance compliance processes in a growing or evolving organization.* Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial environment.* Able to be in office in NYC 3 days/week.## Why Join* Opportunity to build and shape the global compliance function from an early stage.* High level of visibility and interaction with senior leadership and underwriting teams.* Exposure to a diverse portfolio of specialty insurance products and international markets.* Entrepreneurial, growth-oriented culture with strong backing and long-term expansion plans.* Ability to make a meaningful impact on governance and operational standards across a global platform.
