is currently seeking a Director of Financial Aid, Full‑time for our San Jose, CA Campus Financial Aid Department.
Salary Range , Full‑time: $77,000‑$97,000 per year

Basic Function
The Campus based Director of Financial Aid, [DFA] reports directly to the Campus Director with dotted line reporting to the corporate FA department. The DFA at each campus is responsible for oversight and management with ensuring that the financial aid policies and procedures are in compliance with the regulatory agencies guidelines, regulations, and requirements and that the policies and procedures used within the FA department are also in compliance at all times through periodic review and internal file audits. The DFA has oversight of FA Advisors and FA Assistants ensuring support of the Admissions Department, providing estimates, and meeting the needs of students. In addition, the DFA is responsible for maintaining a highly professional image, managing KPIs, and training of company‑provided policies and procedures.
The DFA will be specifically ensuring that the Campus based Financial Aid Advisors and FA Assistants are properly determining student’s eligibility for financial aid, calculation of tuition amounts / adjustments, packaging accurately, ensuring all resource reference information is kept up to date.
Essential Job Duties
Manage and Oversee the recruitment, training and overall supervision for the Campus level Financial Aid team.
Manage the oversight and direction of the financial aid processes and procedures for the Campus level Financial Aid staff.
Conduct daily and weekly meetings with Campus level staff to ensure appropriate progress is being made toward Financial Aid goals and quality of work.
Actively participating and meeting benchmarks for the Campus Level Financial Aid Department.
Participate in scheduled evaluations and goal‑setting meetings with all Campus Level Financial Aid Staff.
Review and evaluation of Financial Aid Staff for quality assurance and to provide necessary coaching/training.
Actively seek out and promote ongoing Financial Aid best practices.
Other assigned duties as required.

Bachelor’s degree in related Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts or Social Sciences preferred
3-5 years of increasingly responsible experience managing Financial Aid
2 Years prior work experience in financial aid, collections, and lending
Registrar experience / exposure preferred
Outstanding verbal, writing, and presentation skills. Must communicate and interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and all constituencies
Working knowledge and understanding of established professional codes of ethics and related principles of good practice for Financial Aid professionals.
Fluency with the execution of reporting and data analysis.
Organizational knowledge of educational institutions
Preferred management work experience in a school environment
Working knowledge or experience interfacing with hospitals and other healthcare organizations
