ECC JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Development Director - Shelbyville
Reports To: Campus Pastor
SCHEDULE
Monday – 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Tuesday – 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Wednesday – 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Thursday – 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday – 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
*Position requires occasional weeknight or weekend hours, but schedule will be adjusted accordingly.
JOB SUMMARY This role exists to cast vision for and lead all adult development at the Shelbyville campus. The Development Director should stand at the forefront of all our disciple-making efforts. This individual should encourage adults to move through our process of classes, connections, and Life Groups, to mature in their faith. They will lead teams of volunteers to facilitate all ministries in under their leadership.

EXPECTATIONS
Attend one service each weekend
Tithe 10% of your income to support the Mission of The Experience
Attend all scheduled meetings
Work all Events that are considered all-hands-on-deck (ex. Next Class, Worship Nights, etc.)
Model Christ in thought, word, deed and in relationships with others (including spouse, if applicable)
Maintain a good reputation and do not be associated with slander, gossip, or negativity
Share concerns/problems about The Experience with your Team Lead in a spirit of 'constructive criticism.'
Foster a good relationship with all leaders at The Experience
Be a team player and adapt to other personalities and styles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain the vision of ECC through:
Authentic Worship – Create an environment in which we lead people to worship God through maturing in their faith.
Authentic Community – Follow the process that pulls people from nonbelievers or nominal Christians to participating members in the Experience Community.
Authentic Community Service – Equip disciples so they fulfill the mission of the church to make disciples, and serve.
Support the congregation and others through benevolence, discerning between giving them money, walking with them through community resources, or not helping at all.
Build, develop, and maintain a team of volunteers and leaders to consistently create a pipeline of teachers and communicators for ministry, i.e., Following Jesus, Authentic Discipleship, and personal growth opportunities for equipping the saints.
Create a system that manages the needs of all Life Groups:
Identify, recruit, develop, and train Life Group leaders, coaches, etc. within the discipleship process.
Manage and organize outreach events, i.e., Fall Festival, Community Cleaning Day, etc.
Oversee assimilation ministries, including hospitality, security, parking, etc.
Develop and maintain relationships with local nonprofits, schools, first responders, and other community leaders.
Organizes meetings and get-togethers for all volunteers and leaders in all ministries.
Other tasks as assigned by leadership
