Customer Service Representative
As a Customer Service Representative at Roses/Roses Express, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include welcoming customers, assisting with product selections, processing transactions, and addressing inquiries about our store and merchandise. You may also assist with unloading shipments, processing inventory, and keeping the sales floor organized and appealing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage customers positively and approachably.
Maintain a clean and well-stocked store to enhance the shopping experience.
Assist in unloading products from delivery trucks, organizing inventory, and transporting items from the stockroom to the sales floor.
Independently restock shelves and organize merchandise throughout the store.
Handle transactions accurately using the POS system and manage customer payments.
Monitor customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure effective and profitable store operations.
Position Requirements:
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Ability to follow instructions and understand retail operational documents is essential. Experience:
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or grocery sectors is preferred. Physical Requirements:
Capability to lift up to 40 lbs routinely (occasionally up to 55 lbs) and perform various physical tasks such as walking, standing, kneeling, climbing, and lifting, with or without reasonable accommodations. Availability:
Must be able to work a flexible full-time or part-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills and Competencies:
Strong customer focus, organizational skills, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and relationship management. Working Conditions: Work will primarily be in a retail store setting, requiring extended periods of standing. The stockroom is subject to temperature fluctuations. You will frequently lift and handle merchandise and display items. Exposure to dust and extreme temperatures may occur during unloading operations.
