As the Course Director for the Master of Counselling, you will spearhead the development and implementation of a pioneering online programme, working closely with Melbourne Online and the Department of Social Work. You'll have the opportunity to lead a team of educators, influence curriculum design, and ensure the highest quality standards in counselling education. This role offers a unique chance to engage with stakeholders and contribute to strategic community partnerships, all while advancing your career in a supportive academic environment.**Your responsibilities will include:*** Provide Strategic Leadership: Design, develop, and continuously improve the curriculum for the online Master of Counselling degree.* Coordinate and Lead Educational Teams: Oversee Subject Coordinators and Online Educators in the programme's delivery as well as directly coordinate and teach into subjects.* Manage Accreditation Processes: Lead the preparation and submission of documentation for University and external accreditation approvals.* Enhance Student Experience: Maintain high-quality online learning through regular reviews and support placement models.**You may be a great fit if:**You are a highly motivated educational leader with a Doctorate in counselling or equivalent with ACA membership eligibility, experienced in developing innovative online graduate programmes and adept at engaging stakeholders across various domains.**You may also:*** Have a proven track record in course and subject development, particularly in online modes.* Demonstrate experience in leading and supporting educational teams.* Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with strategic judgement and empathetic leadership.* Be committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation initiatives.For further information please refer to the attached PD.**What we offer you!**

Social Work was established at The University of Melbourne in 1940 and continues to be one of the leading departments in the Asia-Pacific region.Social Work has a significant research profile and close local and national links with key human service agencies in the government and non-government sectors, social work professional bodies and other major social work schools internationally.Since 2008, Social Work has been offering a qualifying Master of Social Work Degree as well as several specialist Masters post-qualifying courses. In 2016, in a new development for the Department, it began offering online post-qualifying courses including the Master of Advanced Social Work and the Master of Health and Human Services. The Department also offers the Master of Narrative Therapy and Community Work in collaboration with The Dulwich Centre, Adelaide. Social Work also has a long standing, strong and vibrant PhD program focused on training future leaders in the profession and academia.
