Summary:
The Activity Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of an Activity Department for a long-term care nursing center in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and center guidelines in order to fulfill the social, psychosocial and therapeutic needs of the residents. That individual will be responsible to manage the facility’s volunteer program as well as complete MDS assessments
Requirements:
- Must have experience in a long-term care facility
- Be licensed or certified as a recreation specialist or an activity professional by the state of Georgia; or be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapist assistant.
