Position Overview The
Senior Analyst – Family Law & Financial Planning Services

Scope of Work Financial Analysis & Planning
Perform financial planning engagements related to
family law matters , including personal finance, tax analysis, and financial forensics.
Conduct complex financial and tax calculations, including analysis of
personal financial statements, cash flow, income, assets, liabilities, and tax returns .
Apply individual taxation and personal finance principles to develop
practical, client-focused solutions .
Reporting & Client Support
Review financial documents and translate complex financial data into
clear, concise reports
to support attorneys and clients in:
Mediation
Trial preparation
Assist attorneys and clients in understanding financial implications of family law decisions.
Collaborate closely with clients, attorneys, and internal team members to meet
engagement expectations, budgets, and timelines .
Identify effective approaches to achieve engagement objectives through appropriate use of
technology, processes, and staffing models .
Relationship Building & Practice Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, attorneys, and financial professionals.
Identify opportunities for expanded services and long-term client partnerships.
Participate in
thought leadership initiatives
and practice development efforts within the financial planning group.
Compliance & Professional Standards
Adhere to firm policies and procedures related to
privacy, confidentiality, and professional standards .
Ideal Candidate Profile Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
or a related field , with sufficient credits to sit for the
CPA exam
(if not already certified).
2+ years
of progressive experience in
individual tax, family office, or personal finance .
Strong
Excel and financial modeling
skills.
CPA or CPA candidate required ; CPA licensure required for advancement.
At least
2 years of increasing responsibility
with demonstrated leadership or accountability.
Ability to work independently while delivering high-quality service to clients, attorneys, and stakeholders.
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
CFP or PFS designation preferred ;
PFS required for advancement .
Experience developing
comprehensive financial plans
and assisting with implementation.
Familiarity with financial and tax issues common in family law, including:
Property classification
Retirement and investment analysis
Personal income tax concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Client-service mindset with professional judgment
Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
