Paralegal / Senior Paralegal (New York, NY) : Our client, a leading global hedge fund is seeking a highly organized Paralegal to join its legal & compliance team in New York. This is an opportunity to take ownership of core legal processes within a collaborative, well-established team.
Compensation range:
$145K–$160K base; $175-190k all-in Work module:
4 days on-site Responsibilities: Draft, review, and manage SPV and investment documentation, including post-closing paper trails and ancillary agreements. Oversee the formation, maintenance, and dissolution of complex entity structures (LPs, LLCs, SPVs) across multiple jurisdictions. Manage corporate governance matters for portfolio companies, including board actions, consents, NDAs, stock certificates, structure charts, and cap tables. Coordinate fund formation and restructuring activities, including capital calls and related investor documentation. Ensure accurate records and compliance with KYC/AML and other regulatory requirements throughout the investment lifecycle. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all legal entities and oversee the entity management system to ensure data integrity. Support onboarding of new entities and funds, including account openings and related administrative processes. Partner directly with the Legal & Compliance team, including the GC and DGC, on special projects and initiatives. Qualifications: 5-7+ years of professional experience, ideally including 1–2 years in an asset management environment. Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively across stakeholders. Highly organized and proactive, with a hands-on approach and strong project management capability. Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
