
Position Summary
At Le Moyne’s Chophouse, the
Server Assistant
provides prompt and accommodating service to our guests. The Server Assistant must anticipate both server and guest needs, deliver an elevated level of service, and be prepared to act as a team player.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide a positive and friendly guest experience
Assist servers to consistently deliver a quality experience for guests
Prepare food stations and maintain organized and clean guest tables
Ensure all food safety guidelines are adhered to at all times
Serve food and drink to guests at the direction of the server
Assist servers with refilling beverages and water, resetting and bussing tables
Abide by all company and state guidelines regarding food handling and the sales and service of alcoholic beverages
Clear, clean, and reset tables in preparation for arriving guests
Perform side work for opening, during shift, and closing as appropriate
Act as a connection between front of house and back of house when necessary
Handle guest concerns and complaints, notifying server and management when necessary
Update Host on the status of tables throughout the shift
Assist the waitstaff with any additional tasks as required
Maintain regular and punctual on-site attendance with the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when business requires
All other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or any other member of management
Supervisory Responsibilities No supervision required.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
Hospitality experience preferred
Previous experience in and knowledge of restaurant operations and industry standards is a plus
Prior guest relations training
Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
Experience working with computers (MS Office/Google), POS (Micros, Aloha, etc.) and reservation software (Open Table, Resy, etc.)
Skills
A polite, engaging, and professional personality
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence
Must be able to speak English to communicate with guests and recognize situations that may involve guests that require immediate supervisory attention; must use reasonable care for the safety and security of guests
Knowledge of proper food handling
Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimal supervision
Working Conditions
Equipment to be used: Coffee/Tea equipment, reservation system, knives for cutting fruits/garnishes, Micros POS or other point of sale system
Physical & Mental Requirements: Must be 18 years of age; must be able to lift 50 lbs; can bend, kneel, squat; can stand and walk for an 8 hour shift; perform various physical movements such as reaching, extending arms over head, bending and stooping safely; frequently use hands and arms to reach and handle; frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch; can push or pull, lift and carry up to 30 lbs; can push or pull vacuum cleaners and wheeled carts weighing up to 30 lbs
Work Environment: LeMoyne’s is a sixty seat dinner-only restaurant with a bar. Occasionally work in other areas of the property including other restaurant/banquet outlets, storage areas, kitchens, and guest areas. Dynamic and fast paced environment; high volume; high guest contact; may involve varying conditions and circumstances with guests, staff, visitors, etc. Server Assistants often work late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
