Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
A nationally recognized insurance organization is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to small business clients. This role provides consultative guidance and best‑in‑class service while partnering closely with specialty practices and Producers in a high‑volume environment. The Account Manager will also provide mentorship and support to Assistant Account Managers.
Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, carriers, and clients by consistently meeting and exceeding service expectations
Service a high‑volume book of small commercial accounts, providing proactive consultative support
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of service activity, marketing efforts, and policy communications within agency management software
Support renewal retention efforts by collaborating with Producers to prepare applications, specifications, underwriting data, and related marketing materials
Ensure continuous and appropriate coverage for clients, providing recommendations within established timelines
Review current policies and present coverage placement options using established workflows and carrier partnerships
Assist with implementation of new lines of coverage, including account setup, documentation collection, and review of plan details with clients and carriers
Perform coverage analysis and provide accurate quotations for additional or expanded coverages
Mentor and support Assistant Account Managers in daily servicing functions
Qualifications / Requirements 3–5 years of Commercial Lines account management experience
Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license
Strong knowledge of Commercial Lines underwriting, coverage analysis, and rating procedures
Proficiency in agency management software, including AMS360 and WorkSmart preferred
Industry designations such as CISR, ARM, or similar preferred
College degree preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Compensation Salary: $85K – $95K+ (depending on experience)
