Job Description We are seeking a professional and organized Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Kenner. In this role, you will serve as a support function within our HR department, performing recruitment, onboarding, and administrative HR functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting our employees and organizational goals.
Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding of new employees
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Provide support to employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace procedures in a professional and empathetic manner
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies through proper documentation and record-keeping
Respond to employee inquiries and resolve HR-related issues in a timely and supportive manner
Prepare HR reports and maintain HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data
Qualifications Required Qualifications
*Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable*
HRIS experience required; WORKDAY highly desirable
'People Person'; outgoing
2-3 years of experience in a Human Resources role or related HR function
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of employees
Preferred Qualifications
Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
