We are expanding into the Utah market, and we are looking for a high-energy, technically-minded Sales Engineer to lead the charge.

Strong Compensation Structure:

$150,000 minimum guaranteed compensation for the first two (2) years

Transition to base + commission after two years

Option to move to commission earlier if desired

What You’ll Do This is a full-time, field-based Sales Engineer role located in the Salt Lake City region, with regular travel throughout the territory and periodic visits to IEC headquarters in Tempe, AZ. You will be responsible for developing new business, managing accounts, and delivering technical solutions across a broad industrial customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop deep expertise in IEC Supply’s automation and electrical control product portfolio.

Prospect and acquire new OEM and industrial end-user customers.

Conduct technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and solution discussions (in-person and virtual).

Identify and develop new opportunities within assigned territory.

Create and execute a strategic territory growth plan.

Collaborate with internal automation specialists and other internal resources

Work closely with manufacturer partners to develop and close opportunities.

Provide post-sale support and coordinate technical resources when needed.

Maintain CRM discipline: track activities, manage pipeline, forecast revenue.

Achieve revenue and gross margin growth objectives.

What You Bring Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.

Experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, systems integration, or solution selling.

Familiarity with industrial automation systems and electrical controls preferred.

Required Attributes:

Strong hunter mentality with proven ability to open new accounts.

Self-starter comfortable operating independently in a developing territory.

Excellent communicator and relationship builder.

Organized and disciplined in pipeline management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Professional, service-oriented attitude and appearance.

Travel & Structure

Primarily field-based within the Salt Lake City and surrounding industrial markets.

Regular customer visits required.

Periodic travel to Tempe headquarters for training and strategy alignment.

Occasional trade shows or industry events.
