position in the Northwest Region. This full‑time career executive position can be headquartered out of -
Eau Claire, Superior or Spooner . This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at one of the offices listed above at least four days per week. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are still expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This position is required to travel frequently statewide and between all three regional offices. Additional information regarding travel expectations will be discussed during the interview. The results from this recruitment may be used to fill a similar DOT Manager position in DTSD within the next three months.

Position Summary This position serves as Regional Director for the Northwest (NW) Region in the DOT Division of Transportation System Development. It is responsible for managing the Region, including promotion of regional programs and services, establishing regional goals, objectives and performance standards, building and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships, organizing and facilitating the regional management team to achieve a high level of participation in decision making through communication and follow through. The incumbent participates fully in the division management team, is a regular participant and representative in departmental management activities and acts as a conduit between the region and the division and department. The Director is expected to maintain a working knowledge of regional programs, projects and services to ensure that high quality products and services are delivered consistent with the Department/Division vision, mission, policies and standards. Salary Information This position is in schedule‑range 81‑01 with an annual salary of
$115,690 - $141,524 , plus excellent benefits. A 2 year career executive trial period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
Job Details WisDOT does not sponsor work visas. WisDOT is not enrolled in USCIS E‑Verify and is not eligible to employ international F‑1 students seeking STEM‑OPT extension. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States. Qualifications Qualified applicants will have experience with all the following:
Experience supervising staff.
Experience managing and/or administering multiple programs concurrently.
Experience with policy development and/or implementation.
In addition to having all the above, well qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following:
Experience managing and/or administering multiple large‑scale programs concurrently.
Experience partnering with executive leadership in an organization to implement strategic initiatives.
Experience with transportation related project and/or program management.
