portfolio.

Job Summary The Area Leasing Specialist provides leasing, marketing, and resident service support to multiple apartment communities within an assigned region. This role focuses on driving occupancy, supporting renewals, delivering exceptional customer service, and assisting on‑site teams with leasing and marketing initiatives. The Area Leasing Specialist plays a key role in ensuring a consistent, high‑quality leasing experience across communities.

Key Responsibilities Leasing & Sales

Respond promptly to phone, email, and online leasing inquiries

Convert leads into tours and lease applications

Conduct professional, personalized tours and present community features and amenities

Process applications, verify documentation, and communicate approval or denial within required timelines

Prepare lease files, move‑in documentation, keys, and welcome materials

Coordinate move‑ins and communicate timelines with office and maintenance teams

Promote rentable items such as garages, parking, and appliances

Ensure leasing offices, models, and tour paths are clean, welcoming, and tour‑ready

Support outreach activities, marketing initiatives, and community events

Assist with competitor market surveys and data collection

Participate in marketing and leasing meetings as assigned

Resident Relations & Retention

Deliver responsive, courteous, and professional service to residents and prospects

Assist with renewals, lease expirations, and notices‑to‑vacate

Document resident requests and coordinate with maintenance teams as needed

Support resident satisfaction and retention initiatives

Administrative & Office Support

Maintain accurate and timely data entry in property management systems

Organize leasing files, reports, and marketing materials

Respond to emails, messages, and inquiries promptly

Follow company safety policies and Fair Housing guidelines

Partner effectively with on‑site management, leasing, and maintenance teams

Support leasing needs across multiple communities within the region

Assist with special projects and additional assignments as needed

Qualifications Experience & Education

6+ months of leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Strong customer service, sales, and communication skills

Ability to build rapport and close leases effectively

Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience with property management software such as OneSite, Yardi, or similar preferred

Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 30 pounds

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Weekends, overtime, and travel between communities may be required

Work may occur in a pet‑friendly environment
