CPI Security, in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a

Salesforce Engineer

to be part of our growing IT organization. This is an exciting, hands‑on delivery opportunity to implement a broad range of key solutions at a company that has fully embraced the Salesforce platform. CPI leverages over 16 core components of Salesforce including the Sales, Service, Field Service, CPQ, Marketing, Commerce, and Communities clouds. The ideal person will have extensive experience designing, building, and implementing enterprise features on Salesforce in multi‑cloud environments. This is an on‑site position that will collaborate and grow within the experience Salesforce team at our HQ in Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a delivery agent for our evolving Salesforce platform, you will be responsible for implementing solutions through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including understanding our business processes, identifying opportunities to provide solutions to key gaps, designing, and configuring changes including declarative rules, process automation & other configuration, unit testing, conducting code reviews, and change management

Be a team player in the strategic optimization and enhancement of multiple Salesforce clouds, with a focus in either Sales or Service along with experience in any of the following: CPQ, Field Service, Communities and/or Commerce Cloud

Be a contributor in the creation and maintenance of Flows, and in the transition of alternate automation tools such as Workflow Rules and Process Builder

Act as a Salesforce subject matter expert for CPI, meet with business and IT teams to solve problems through the salesforce platform

Develop relationships with key business partners and participate in cross‑functional teams that address strategic business issues involving the contact center, field operations, marketing, and sales

Stay current with technological developments within the Salesforce platform, monitoring and planning for the organization to utilize new release functionality as it becomes available

Promote, and actively participate in, a DevOps culture where the team is expected and empowered to own each aspect of the development, promotion, and operation of their code

Influence business and technology leaders on creating and promoting change for improving existing business processes, increasing ROI and overall effectiveness using Salesforce and its plugins

Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, validation rules, and workflow automation

Evaluate and install Salesforce AppExchange components and solutions

Be able to integrate Salesforce to third party and custom applications through APIs and database connections

Job Requirements/Experience

4+ years of experience with these Salesforce solutions: Sales and Service, with a strong desire for at least one of the following Field Service, CPQ, Communities, and Commerce

Experience in building complex Salesforce solution designs including a working knowledge of:

Sharing and visibility

Salesforce platform limits

Order of execution

Data storage impacts

Experience working with existing Salesforce object structure, and architecting custom objects to bring Salesforce solutions from design to implementation

Deep configuration experience with Flows

Experience working with the Salesforce Lightning UI and Lightning Web Components

Experience integrating Salesforce with custom applications and contact center platforms, data warehouses and other enterprise primary platforms

Experience in DML and SOQL

Experience with authentication strategies between Salesforce and external systems

Experience with Agentforce, Digital Engagement, chatbots, Virtual Remote Assistant, and Einstein Next Best Actions is preferred

Experience with SQL to Salesforce integrations and data patterns

Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively deliver messages to a wide range of audiences - from executive to technical

Innovative and positive team member mindset

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver results working independently or in a collaborative environment (agile experience preferred)
