Position Overview OHT Partners is seeking a Development and Asset Management Analyst to join its Austin office. The role will provide the opportunity to work on all stages of the multifamily investment lifecycle of the firm’s portfolio in Austin and San Antonio. The analyst will support development activities, including market research, site selection, financial analysis, site feasibility, design, permitting, capitalization, construction administration, operations, and disposition. Additionally, this role will be responsible for supporting the Vice President of Asset Management in monitoring asset‑level performance, executing business plans, supporting financing and investor reporting, and driving operational, financial, and strategic initiatives designed to maximize performance and value of the Austin portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Development
Perform market research
Maintain and develop databases for transactions and development opportunities
Research site‑specific information and development constraints
Underwrite multifamily development opportunities
Coordinate site development feasibility and manage various design consultants
Prepare debt and equity offering memorandums
Coordinate due diligence and closings with lenders and investors
Construction Administration Oversight
Review monthly construction draws and manage the overall budget and schedule
Coordinate property turnover from construction to property management
Coordinate asset dispositions with the brokerage community and buyers
Asset Management
Monitor and analyze operating performance for stabilized and lease‑up multifamily assets
Prepare and maintain asset‑level financial models
Review monthly property management reports, operating statements, rent rolls, and capital expenditures
Partner with property management teams to evaluate rent strategies, occupancy trends, expense control, and operating efficiencies
Assist with annual operating budgets, reforecasts, and long‑term capital planning
Track and manage capital expenditure programsCoordinate property tax protests, insurance renewals, and risk management initiatives
Conduct regular asset inspections to ensure operational execution
Support disposition efforts, including broker coordination and due diligence
Assist with investor reporting and performance updates
Qualifications
Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
1+ years of experience in Finance, Real Estate, or related field preferred
Multifamily Asset Management, Real estate capital markets, acquisitions, and/or development experience preferred
Preferred Skills
Excellent financial modeling skills, including thorough knowledge of Excel
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
Experience with Yardi, OneSite, and Axiometrics/Market Analytics a plus
Excellent quantitative, analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Genuine interest in the industry, a strong work ethic, and being a self‑starter are required
