
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Asset Protection Officer, where your primary goal will be to protect our valuable company assets. You will play a key role in implementing safety, inventory recovery, and theft reduction initiatives. Your expertise will help minimize lost inventory and effectively monitor surveillance systems, ensuring a safe and secure environment. You will also identify, observe, and apprehend individuals involved in criminal activities affecting the company. This role involves close collaboration with district Asset Protection managers to drive the execution of our Asset Protection strategies. Responsibilities
Conduct undercover surveillance to identify loss prevention opportunities within the store.
Carry out thorough internal and external investigations, reporting findings to the necessary stakeholders, and apprehending those involved in illegal conduct.
Assist in the recruitment, training, and scheduling of Asset Protection specialists with district management.
Coach and provide skill development support to team members and participate in performance evaluations.
Review entries in the Asset Protection case management system for quality and accuracy, guiding team members on reporting and decision-making.
Collaborate with organized retail crime investigators to enhance training for specialists in identifying suspicious activities.
Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, alongside company policies and procedures.
Assess and address behaviors impacting shrinkage, safety, and profitability through compliance audits.
Perform regular physical security checks and make recommendations to enhance loss prevention and profitability.
Partner with law enforcement, prepare case reports for prosecution, and be prepared to testify on behalf of the company.
Act as a liaison across the district and division to highlight and develop asset protection solutions.
Support district managers in executing asset protection initiatives at store level.
Ensure the functionality of asset protection equipment through regular testing during store visits.
Willingness to travel and work varied schedules, including weekends.
Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
2+ years of experience in retail asset protection.
Demonstrated ability to train others and maintain professionalism and integrity.
Strong skills for diffusing confrontational situations.
Exceptional customer service orientation.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.
Experience managing asset protection across multiple locations.
Operational understanding of CCTV systems.
