
Kids Ministry Director

Description
The Kids Ministry Director partners with the Family Pastor to pursue the mission of the church by designing fun opportunities to partner with parents as we inspire kids to live in the way of Jesus with the heart of Jesus.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leadership of Staff, Volunteers, & Ministry
Guide the Children’s team work together with a common strategy, values, and language.
Manage staff to help them grow in their roles and as leaders.
Effectively collaborate with key staff (preschool director, sports director), volunteers, and outside organizations to reach our community.
Budget and resources are strategically allocated to support clear mission-based goals.
Recruit, train, and resource 150+ volunteers to lead kids in weekly Kids Church and Wednesday Clubs.
Maintain a healthy relationship with the Emmanuel Faith Preschool.
Creatively Grow the Ministry
Ensure that all Kids programming is fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate environments for kids to learn about Jesus and be trained as His disciples.
Able to cast vision and model effective teaching in large and small group settings.
Kids Church (Sunday) and Kids Clubs (Wednesday) are led by a dynamic and diverse team who are passionate about helping kids know Jesus.
Volunteers are creatively equipped to engage in meaningful ministry with kids, from the nursery through elementary programs.
Equip Parents to Disciple
Create strategic opportunities for parents to utilize our ministry programs as tools to help them become better disciple-makers of their kids.
Keep parents informed and connected with the ministry and church.
Influence Next Generation to Serve Others
Kids are engaged in developmentally appropriate ministry and service opportunities.
Teen volunteers are coached, developed, and empowered by adult leaders.
Families are encouraged to serve together through community service projects.
Requirements Classification
Full Time Exempt- Clergy (Ministerial Exemption)
Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year

Time Commitment:
45+ hours/weeks, including:
Regular Family Ministry Meetings
Monthly All Staff Meeting
Monthly Pastors/ Directors Meeting
Weekly Team Meeting
Bi-weekly 1:1 with team members
Weekly participation in meetings/retreats as necessary
Participation in the life of the body through worship gatherings, etc
Qualifications:
Commitment to EFCC’s Statement of Faith, Mission, & Values
Bachelor's Degree in Ministry or Education Field, Master's preferred.
At least 5 years experience working in a ministry or leadership position
Loves Jesus, Loves Kids
Strong communication & people skills, especially with kids.
Has proven experience leading, growing, and caring for teams.
Experiencing overseeing budgets
Embodies the following: decisive, people-focused, engaging, teachable, passionate, organized, tech-savvy.
