Hood Distributionis a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood as well as related specialty wood products whose customers include cabinet shops, furniture manufacturers, millwork houses and other related businesses.
Hood Distribution, Raleigh, NC is looking for an Outsides Sales Representative for the sales territory covering Northern North Carolina, Outer Banks, NC, Eastern Virginia from Richmond to Gloucester. The successful candidate should have experience in sales and marketing of products to businesses. Experience in wood products (panels, lumber, and moulding) is a major plus.
Responsibilities:
Within a defined territory, build relationships and generate sales of wood and wood products to wholesale and end-user commercial customers at planned profit margins by developing effective business relationships with customers
Meet customer needs by providing needed products and establishing high quality and customer responsiveness expectations
Coordinate outside sales efforts with inside sales reps to create a planned and thoughtful approach in your territory for growth in the overall business both efficiently and profitably
Assure that inside sales force is aware of customer, service, or quality issues that could affect business.
Support existing and new customers in receiving credit approvals or resolving accounts receivables questions.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
Create a planned and thoughtful approach in your territory to grow the overall business both efficiently and profitably.
Keeps ISR and branch associates informed by communicating daily, submitting activities such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly territory analyses.
Salary range: $48,500 - $62,500 plus commission potential
