Responsibilities

Provide price and delivery quotes within customer timeline to customers within assigned geographic territory by working with the product manager and the manufacturers representative to establish the most competitive pricing by telephone, fax and email. For price quotes, the incumbent may use independent judgment on product cost by reviewing TTI\'s suggested sale price and pricing history for that customer. Perform the duties of an Account Representative, when others are unavailable, by taking customer calls, pursuing sales and expediting parts. Sell products and services offered by TTI, including product lines, AIM programs, quality, and value-added services. Build relationships and tailor the sales approach to meet customer needs. This is measured through monthly sales reporting, quality objectives and regular management reviews. Facilitate and coordinate large quotes (over 100 line items) with sales and the TTI QS department. Ensure quotes are completed between sales, product and QS and that the final quote is returned to the customer in a timely manner. Research and expedite customer orders. Monitor and ensure delivery date and product quality to meet customer requirements. Process the customer\'s order by entering it into the sales database for quote processing and delivery schedules. Demonstrate attention to detail, proofreading for accuracy, and maintaining quality expectations. Timely processing reduces parts loss and lead time with factories, as reflected in on-time delivery and RMA rates. Expand product knowledge by utilizing resources including product literature, factory representatives, product managers, sales managers and other sales representatives to discuss product options with customers and sell TTI strengths. Participate in the TTI Total Quality process by following defined policies and procedures to maintain an efficient sales cycle, aiming to reduce sales errors and uphold high quality. This is measured by lines shipped per salesperson and on-time delivery with error checks. Increase the customer account base by compiling lists of prospective customer leads from various sources, aiming for growth in new customers. Provide management with information regarding sales, marketing techniques, new products and market strategy by preparing forecasts and activity reports on the account territory. Work with the Regional Credit Manager to resolve customer credit issues by interfacing with both parties to close the sale. Perform other related duties as assigned.
