Summary The Real Estate Coordinator's primary responsibilities include performing land title research, property acquisition, appraisal, and relocation tasks in support of highway, airport, public facility, and private projects. Duties include setting up project files, researching tax and property sale values, gathering property ownerships and supporting data, assembling offer packages and transmittals, and other duties as assigned under limited supervision. A Real Estate Coordinator is expected to exercise a strong work ethic, demonstrate a desire to learn and grow, and have strong organizational and communication skills. This person is expected to work well with others, absorb and apply constructive criticism and seek guidance from more experienced members of the team as necessary.

Project Delivery Produces the following under limited direction/oversight from others:

Draft offer packages

Draft waiver valuations

Draft ROW technical memos and reports

Spreadsheet data and file structure maintenance

Ownership research and database manipulation

Understanding Budget and Schedule Moderate understanding of scopes, schedules, and budgets. With guidance, predicts the level of effort for individual tasks and successfully deliver tasks within that level of effort. Monitors results on moderately complex projects.

Client Interaction Limited direct interaction, commonly in group settings. Responds to emails, attends meetings, and answers questions/comments with limited autonomy.

Level of Work/Accountability Performs moderately complex technical work on projects for the assigned market sector. Operates with limited autonomy – work is supervised and reviewed by more senior staff.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED required

Years of experience required: 1 year

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Real Estate license required (if required by state code)

Right of Way Agent (RWA) designation preferred

Driving is an essential job function or a valid driver’s license is required to support legitimate business purposes

Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to create and interpret graphs and understand statistical analysis.
