Job Summary
Jasper Engineering is seeking an Inside Sales Representative who can work both independently and collaboratively as dedicated support to our Outside Sales team. In this role, you will serve as the internal point of contact for managing accounts, preparing proposals, coordinating communication, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Your efforts will help maximize the productivity and success of our Outside Sales Representatives in the field.
This is a hybrid position requiring regular in-office work at the Jasper Engineering Office in Plymouth, Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities Sales Support & Coordination
Partner with Outside Sales Representatives to manage day-to-day sales activities.
Prepare quotes and proposals tailored to client needs.
Process new purchase orders
Account Management & Customer Service
Act as the internal point of contact for customer questions, order updates, and product information. Provide problem solving and support in expedited situations.
Provide phone support
Progressive payments/special terms
Assist with onboarding new clients and managing customer data in CRM systems.
Ensure timely responses to client inquiries and maintain strong customer satisfaction.
Pipeline & CRM Management
Support forecasting and pipeline development by maintaining accurate and current data.
Monitor open orders and ensure follow-ups are completed in coordination with the outside rep
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
Liaise between customers, outside sales, principals/vendors, operations, and other internal departments.
Provide regular reporting on activity, sales metrics, and client feedback.
Identify areas to improve sales processes and customer engagement strategies.
Housekeeping duties such as filing invoices, packing slips, product received, delivery tickets and other paperwork as needed.
Update production log/archive as needed
Other related duties as requested.
Requirements Qualifications Education & Experience
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
2–4 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or account management, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or technical environment.
Experience supporting outside sales or field representatives in a team-based selling structure.
Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus).
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint).
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-up and multitasking abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle urgent or complex customer requests.

Physical & General Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (e.g., handling samples, literature, or office supplies).
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while performing computer and phone-based tasks.
Consistent attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail are essential.
