About the Role The Overhead Door Company of Kansas City™ (a DH Pace Company) is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Olathe, KS. The role requires strong sales and customer‑service skills and supports the sales team by calling existing and potential national customers.
Job Responsibilities
Communicate with customers to identify sales opportunities, resolve issues, and provide consultative sales support.
Proactively engage with accounts to strengthen client relationships, identify opportunities for additional products or services, address ongoing needs, and ensure overall satisfaction.
Maintain and update the CRM system daily to ensure accurate and current customer data.
Conduct timely follow‑up activities to advance and close sales opportunities.
Prepare, detail, and submit accurate and competitive final proposals to customers.
Consistently work toward and achieve assigned sales targets and performance objectives.
Complete projects on time and within budgeted costs.
Provide support on sales projects and initiatives as needed.
Demonstrate initiative by continuously learning and applying new sales strategies, tools, and technologies.
Share product knowledge and aid team members across the office and region when needed.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of two years of proven sales experience, preferably inside sales or a customer‑facing role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM, and ERP/data management systems.
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
Excellent assessment, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to multi‑task and perform efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Professional demeanor with outstanding customer‑service and relationship‑building skills.
Outgoing personality with a natural ability to connect with and support customers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments.
Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, self‑motivation, and goal orientation.
Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
Experience supporting field service operations is a plus.
