Creating a culture of support within the school for staff, families and children

Managing operation of the school in the Director’s absence
Assisting the Director in ensuring maximum enrollment and effective cost control
RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands, promotes, and models Primrose School of Plainfield's vision, purpose and mission.
Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers.
Assists in keeping school physically well kept, attractive, and safe.
Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, open houses, and school functions/events.
Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior in adhering to the guidelines offered in the Employee Handbook.
Actively develops and maintains positive staff relationships and parent partnerships and manages all resources effectively.
Trains new staff per Primrose standards, ensuring that each staff fully understands Primrose Schools’ philosophy and all policies and procedures.
Ability to perform all of the essential functions for each position in the School, including, but not limited to, other Leadership Team positions, Teacher, Food Service Teacher, and Bus Driver.
Develop programs designed to involve the parents and community in school activities.
Conduct tours of the school and interact with children and parents about programs/curriculum.
Assists the Director with necessary management responsibilities to manage all aspects of the school including business management, campus environment, and marketing.
Assists the Director with to achieve maximum enrollment and effective cost management.
Assumes responsibility to manage operation of the school in the Director's absence.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be Director Qualified and meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position.
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience and 2 years of classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childcare facility.
Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality.
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Highly professional and dependable.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet.
Previous professional experience highly preferred.
A philosophy that puts children first.
A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Salary Range 36K to 45K annually
Shift Schedule 8 hour shift between the hours of 6:30 am to 6:30 pm
