
Bilingual Medical Writer (German/English) – Freelance

We are looking to engage experienced freelance medical writers with strong German language proficiency to support our scientific communications projects.
What you need to have
Must have bilingual German–English proficiency at a native or near-native level, with strong scientific writing skills
Strong background in Medical Affairs and medical communications, ideally with experience in rare diseases and hepatology, neurology, or immunology
Experience in literature reviews (screening, extraction, synthesis, creating evidence-based narratives) is a plus
Proactive communicator, able to flag risks related to capacity, timelines, and dependencies
High accuracy, structured work style, and the ability to manage shifting priorities across multiple high intensity accounts
Additional languages (French or Italian), experience in regulatory document development, or a creative visual storytelling mindset are strong pluses
What you will do
Ensure high quality scientific content development through rigorous writing and quality control activities, including precise referencing, accuracy and data control activities, including precise referencing, accuracy and data verification checks, consistent use of scientific terminology, and compliance with medical, legal, and regulatory requirements
Independently develop and review scientific documents for medical affairs, events, faculty communication, and publications (e.g., slide decks, visual summaries, ad-board materials) ensuring cross-functional stakeholder alignment
Adapt efficiently across scientific, marketing, and publications tasks based on evolving account needs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
