Position Summary The North America Aftermarket Sales Leader plays a critical role in driving aftermarket revenue growth, strengthening distributor performance, and enhancing customer satisfaction across the region. This is a hybrid role that combines people leadership with direct territory ownership.
The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of Aftermarket Area Managers while also managing a defined sales territory and key customer accounts. This role requires deep industry knowledge, a disciplined sales approach, and strong leadership capabilities to build an industry‑leading aftermarket organization.
Key Responsibilities Sales Growth & Strategy
Drive aftermarket revenue growth across North America through both direct territory management and leadership of the regional sales team
Develop and execute annual aftermarket sales strategies, goals, and initiatives aligned with company objectives
Analyze regional and territory performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
Identify new growth opportunities, expand existing accounts, and support customer retention efforts
Distributor & Customer Engagement
Serve as a trusted advisor to distributors and key partners, providing guidance to maximize parts and service sales
Collaborate closely with distributors and customers to grow aftermarket engagement and satisfaction
Lead execution of sales programs, promotions, and events to increase market penetration
Act as the primary conduit for customer and distributor feedback to internal teams
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop Aftermarket Area Managers to improve performance and productivity
Set clear performance expectations, review activity metrics, and hold the team accountable for results
Deliver and oversee comprehensive sales and service training for internal teams and distributor partners
Ensure the team maintains strong technical and product knowledge across compressors and compressed air systems
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with stationary equipment sales to ensure alignment and coordinated account strategies
Collaborating with Product Management on aftermarket offerings, lifecycle planning, and obsolescence management
Coordinate with Aftermarket Operations and Customer Service to resolve post‑sales issues efficiently
Support CRM development, adoption, and disciplined activity management
Operational Excellence
Ensure warranty processes and protocols are clearly understood and properly executed
Develop regional parts stocking strategies aligned with market demand
Maintain accurate forecasts, reports, and performance analyses to support data‑driven decision‑making
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred; equivalent industry and leadership experience considered
Experience
5+ years of experience in sales, business, technical, or marketing roles within industrial or technical markets
Air compressor or industrial rotary equipment sales, service, or aftermarket experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated success leading and developing sales teams in a metric-driven environment
Proven experience owning and managing a sales territory while leading others
Strong background selling to industrial end users through an independent distributor network
Experience developing sales action plans, KPIs, and accountability frameworks
Comfortable presenting and training both technical and non‑technical audiences
Willingness to travel approximately 40–60%
Skills
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills
Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
CRM experience required; Salesforce preferred
