UX Designer II, Risk and Compliance Solutions
We’re seeking an experienced UX Designer to lead visual designs for Risk and Compliance Solutions (RCS) products. RCS serves as a crucial safeguard for Amazon’s buyers, brands, and selling partners while ensuring business teams meet their regulatory obligations. Operating under the Three Lines of Defense (3LoD) model, RCS functions as the second line of defense, providing specialized oversight, monitoring, and expertise while setting policies and procedures that guide Amazon’s compliance framework. RCS’s mission is to leverage specialist industry insights and Amazon’s unique way to scale through technology, delighting customers through tailored compliance solutions. RCS’s work spans multiple critical areas, including enabling Amazon’s financial services expansion through streamlined license acquisition, managing existing business risks, delivering comprehensive governance, risk, and assurance services across Amazon, developing innovative solutions like Compliance as a Service (CaaS) and transforming compliance operations into a proactive, intelligence‑led framework. This role is critical for RCS’s mission to scale compliance operations through technology, reduce manual processes, and enable Amazon’s global expansion while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key job responsibilities
Design end‑to‑end UX for complex and ambiguous risk, compliance, and assurance products
Create user‑centered designs that incorporate business requirements, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings and insights
Design conceptual wireframes, high‑fidelity mockups, information architecture diagrams, user flows, and interaction specifications
Seek out diverse feedback and foster a passion for cross‑functional collaboration
Present design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review
Lead the creation and refinement of UI components, patterns, and template libraries, ensuring each element meets high visual craft standards, and reflects a systematic approach to design with a strong eye for consistency
Continue to shape our visual language and design system
Advocate for accessibility standards and ensure compliance across components, reflecting commitment to inclusive design practices
Collaborate with a cross‑functional development team of product managers, engineers, and testers

A day in the life UX designer in this role is responsible for designing tools that will highly impact risk and compliance services team worldwide to provide excellent service and support to Amazon businesses. The designer will meet regularly with representatives from product and engineering teams to gather product requirements, transform complex journeys into seamless experiences, interact with users to gather insights, design creative solutions, collaborate with stakeholders and present concepts to cross‑functional partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
Knowledge of usability principles and techniques
