
Architectural Designer - Creative Workplace

An innovative design firm known for producing high quality commercial interiors projects is seeking intermediate designers to join their team. You will serve as a client contact and keep a small team on track and on-time with deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a positive personality that loves communication, people, and organization!
Responsibilities:
Lead development and coordination of project designs for Commercial Workplace and Tenant Improvement projects
Work with a small and passionate team to provide innovative solutions and creative design concepts for both small and large projects
Take projects from programming and space planning through to permits/approvals and construction
Act as a mentor to junior staff within the office
Liaise directly with General Contractors, PM’s and design team Consultants on design coordination, costs and value-engineering solutions
Produce detailed construction documentation and specifications
Coordinate directly with furniture vendors, review proposals for design intent and budget compliance
Conduct QA reviews of internal and consultant designs to ensure they meet the needs of the project
Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture
4+ Years of professional experience in Commercial Workplace and/or Tenant Improvement sectors
Team player, with a “we mentality”
Outstanding design and technical skills to take projects from concept to completion
Proven experience leading in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD for modeling, rendering, and preparation of design presentations and construction drawings
