As part of this growth, the firm is seeking a
Valuation Associate
to join its centralized valuation function, supporting various active portfolio companies and funds. This is a high-impact role with broad exposure to senior leadership, valuation committees, third-party valuation firms, auditors, and investment teams.
The Role The Valuation Associate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing valuation frameworks for various investment portfolios. The position supports quarterly valuation processes, valuation committee materials, investor and regulatory reporting, and portfolio analytics, while also helping evolve best-in‑class valuation practices across the platform.
This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious, with a desire to understand how market, asset-level, and capital structure dynamics impact valuation outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the continued evolution of valuation policies, processes, and standardized templates
Cross‑fund reporting, valuation analytics, SOX controls, regulatory items
Research technical valuation topics and provide thoughtful input on emerging valuation issues, market trends, and methodology considerations
Coordinate and manage quarterly valuation reviews with third‑party valuation firms and external auditors
Review and compile investment summaries, valuation support packages, valuation committee materials, and investor reporting
Monitor business, industry, and macroeconomic developments that may impact portfolio performance and valuations
Provide oversight and guidance to an offshore support team assisting with valuation analysis and documentation
Respond to ad‑hoc analytical and reporting requests from senior stakeholders
Qualifications:
1‑2 years of experience with valuations
Strong foundation in financial statements, capital markets, security types, and valuation methodologies, including Income and Market approaches
Experience with valuation and financial data platforms such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, QlikView, iLevel, or similar systems
Highly analytical, intellectually curious, and detail‑oriented, with a strong commitment to quality and professional rigor
This role is hybrid, 3 days in office and 2 days from home.
