What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Evaluate insurance policies, claims forms, and other records to determine insurance coverage
Conduct thorough investigations and gather necessary documentation to assess liability
Interview claimants and witnesses regarding claims
Prepare reports and negotiate claim settlements, ensuring adherence to carrier instructions
Utilize technology for efficient claim handling and maintain an expected caseload
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Must obtain IIA‑AIC designation within 12 to 18 months in the role
Three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to create comprehensive and accurate written reports
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Prior experience handling property and casualty claims is a plus
Empathetic claims handling demeanor
Negotiating skills to effectively resolve claims
Ability to work in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
