The Job Unchained Labs is seeking a highly motivated and proactive sales professional covering Northern California Bay Area, CO, and UT to lead the company’s commercial activities within these territories. The role requires actively finding, nurturing and closing new business. The candidate should have a strong track record in hitting targets and developing new business through a variety of traditional and social channels. A deep understanding of capital sales within the instrumentation business, as well as detailed technical understanding of the life sciences industry, is essential. Application-specific knowledge of the biologics and gene therapy market would be highly beneficial. The candidate should be accustomed to using contact management systems and experience with Salesforce would be preferred. Responsibilities Report to the Chief Commercial Officer and develop and optimize a well-balanced and proactive sales strategy. Demonstrate Unchained Lab’s technology at customer sites to nurture sales pipelines and close business on Unchained Lab’s behalf. Find, nurture and close new business. Represent the business in a professional manner at external meetings/demonstrations and scientific conferences. Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure effective use of Unchained Lab’s products as well as drive post-sale business. Work with marketing colleagues to develop a local strategy for marketing and lead generation. Work closely with customers to identify and interpret market dynamics influencing demands for new products and new assay development. Report monthly KPIs and be responsible for ensuring growth and development of these business-critical areas of development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology or similar discipline 5+ years industry experience in a relevant sales role Prior experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM Experience in the biologics and gene therapy markets preferred Experience selling in complex purchasing environments with multiple decision makers Travel up to 30% overnight when required Located in Northern California / Bay Area home office preferred Compensation The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $180,000. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual base salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. This role is also eligible for our commission program, comprehensive health, and retirement benefit programs. US jobs must have pay transparency on all JD's.
