Summary We are seeking a Parts Counter Associate to join our dynamic team in Columbia, MD. In this role, responsible for supporting field technicians and customers by efficiently managing HVAC/R parts, materials, and inventory. This role serves as a key operational link between service teams, vendors, and customers, ensuring timely access to the correct parts to keep service jobs running smoothly. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, stock, and distribute HVAC/R parts, equipment, and supplies
Assist technicians with identifying, locating, and issuing required parts
Maintain accurate inventory records using internal systems and spreadsheets
Process purchase orders, returns, and warranty parts
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to track orders and delivery timelines
Ensure workspace and storage areas are organized and compliant with safety standards
Communicate proactively with dispatch, service managers, and technicians regarding part availability
Support periodic inventory counts and audits
Qualifications & Skills
Strong attention to detail and organization
Experience with inventory management or parts distribution (HVAC/R preferred)
Comfortable using computer systems, spreadsheets, and email
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced service environment
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Warehouse and service counter setting
Frequent interaction with technicians, vendors, and internal staff
May involve lifting and moving parts and equipment
