This includes improving systems to minimize applicant friction while also managing risk. Additionally, this person will work to automate the application flow to produce faster and more accurate loan decisions. The Product Manager collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners, analyzes data to inform decisions such as product pricing. This role also ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements.# **Job Description****LOCATION**Off-site Utah**SCHEDULE**Full TimeTo be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully.* Own and manage the process experience for assigned direct consumer lending products and programs, including credit cards, instant short-term loans, auto loans, RV loans, and personal loans. Ensure alignment with strategic objectives and quality portfolio growth while optimizing steps within each process for both members (applicants) and team members (taking and processing applications).* Lead product development and enhancement initiatives from ideation through launch and ongoing optimization. Define product requirements, prioritize features, and coordinate with designers, developers, marketers, and project managers to deliver successful product releases.* Analyze member and market feedback, performance data, and competitive trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation. Make data-driven decisions to maximize member value and profitability.* Collaborate with internal teams (Risk, Compliance, IT, Lending Operations) and external vendors to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of product enhancements and program rollouts.* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including application turn times, profitability, satisfaction scores, adoption rates, and operational efficiency. Prepare regular reports and presentations for leadership.* Ensure compliance with all lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across assigned products and programs.* Drive cross-functional collaboration to gather and incorporate feedback from members, channel partners, and stakeholders. Foster transparency and communication of roadmap changes and product updates.* Contribute to the creation of training materials and internal communications to support product launches and ongoing education for member-facing teams.* Champion process improvements and efficiency gains within lending operations, leveraging data analytics and technology to streamline workflows.* Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Direct Consumer Lending team.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*** Demonstrated expertise in consumer lending products, policies, and software platforms (e.g., Symitar/Keystone, PowerCurve, Blend, ALPS).* Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.* Proficiency in business data analysis, data validation, and reporting tools.* Excellent communication skills—able to clearly express ideas, methodology, results, and recommendations verbally, in writing, and through reports and presentations.* Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, adapting to change and responding positively to feedback.* Proven problem-solving skills and initiative to drive process improvements.* Demonstrated ability to launch and optimize lending products through various channels with a focus on the member and team member experience.**Education and Experience*** Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, economics, or related field **OR** additional four years in product management experience required.* 7+ years of consumer lending experience, ideally in a credit union or banking environment.* 3+ years managing or supporting lending products, programs, or operational initiatives.* Experience in product/project management and working in Agile environments preferred.* Hands-on experience with workflow automation, digital onboarding, and real-time decisioning systems.* Credentials in product management (e.g., CPM, CBAP, PMHQ, APM) preferred.**Scope and Strategic Impact*** Accountable for the performance and impact of assigned products and programs.* Applies subject matter expertise to solve business challenges and influence cross-company processes and standards.* Proficiency with AI/ML-powered lending platforms, advanced data analytics, and automation tools.* Understanding of digital compliance, and fair lending practices with alternative data.**Physical Abilities / Working Conditions*** Typical office environment; ability to sit, talk, and hear consistently; occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds.#LI-FW1Mountain America Credit Union is an EEO/AA/ADA/Veterans employer.Follow @MountainAmericaLife on
