biotechnology and biopharmaceutical instrumentation industry
is seeking a
Biotechnology Product Line Manager
to drive worldwide revenue growth and oversee a portfolio of biotechnology, fermentation, and academic research products across their full lifecycle.
This role blends strategic product ownership with hands-on technical and commercial engagement. You will define product direction, translate customer and market needs into actionable requirements, and partner closely with cross‑functional teams—including R&D, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Applications, and Technical Support—to deliver differentiated solutions that exceed revenue targets and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with customers, key opinion leaders, sales teams, R&D, and applications groups (domestically and internationally) to define market needs and translate them into clear product and market requirements.
Maintain deep knowledge of market conditions, competitive landscape, product performance, and customer feedback.
Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and maintain global product line forecasts.
Evaluate opportunities for product enhancements, extensions, and new solutions.
Own product positioning, value propositions, and core messaging.
Create and support sales enablement materials and technical collateral.
Develop and maintain hands‑on technical expertise across the full biotechnology product portfolio.
Identify and support product representation opportunities including trade shows, sales meetings, digital content, and promotional initiatives.
Act as a technical and commercial resource to account managers globally, supporting opportunities through demonstrations, evaluations, objection handling, and deal closure.
Plan and execute on‑site technical evaluations for qualified prospects, including application studies, method correlations, precision and linearity testing, and customer training.
Deliver field‑based sales and technical training for both domestic and international teams, contributing to training curriculum development.
Proactively address customer objections and convert challenges into successful sales outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
Background in biotechnology development is required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of biotechnology nutrient, metabolite, gas, and cell analysis systems and their industrial applications.
Solid understanding of pharmaceutical Quality Control, Quality Assurance, GMP environments, and FDA validation standards.
Proficiency in interpreting and applying statistical data.
7+ years of product management experience, with a focus on biopharmaceutical or biotechnology markets.
5+ years of direct customer‑facing experience within the biotechnology capital equipment industry.
5+ years of hands‑on experience in cell culture or fermentation development laboratories and/or manufacturing environments.
Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
Physical & Travel Requirements
Standard office‑based activities.
Ability to travel by car and plane as required.
