Marketing Project Manager (Sales & Marketing) – Grand Rapids, MI. Occasional travel may be expected to support collaboration across the firm.
Job Summary Fishbeck is seeking an experienced Marketing Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives within the Sales & Marketing Department. This role will serve as the operational backbone for high-visibility projects that support firm growth, brand positioning, and strategic priorities.
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Marketing Project Manager will oversee projects from initiation through completion, managing timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful delivery. This position works in close partnership with department team leaders while driving accountability, maintaining project discipline, and creating visibility into progress for leadership.
Additional Details Location details : Grand Rapids, MI; occasional travel to Farmington Hills. Occasional travel may be expected to support collaboration across the firm.
Minimum Physical Requirements : Normal office working conditions; use of computer; occasional travel; ability to use various technical equipment for communication and documentation; visual acuity; occasional light lifting, sitting, and walking.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Certification:
Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus but not required.
Experience:
10+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Proven ability to manage projects from concept through completion with minimal oversight.
Strong ability to influence teams and maintain momentum without direct authority.
Experience managing budgets, vendors, and external partners.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and diverse project teams.
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to anticipate challenges, think critically, and guide teams toward solutions.
Experience in a professional services environment such as AEC, consulting, corporate marketing, or a creative agency preferred.
Familiarity with change management principles and organizational rollout strategies a plus.
Experience establishing or improving project workflows, templates, or governance practices.
Proficiency with project management tools and reporting platforms.
Calm, confident decision-maker who operates effectively in fast-paced environments.
Professional presence with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
