Job Overview
The Multimedia Graphic Design Specialist at Muskegon Community College plays a key role in strengthening the College’s brand through graphic design, motion graphics, digital content creation, and marketing strategy. This full‑time position (40 hours/52 weeks) requires creating and managing visual assets, web design, and digital campaigns that enhance engagement and drive awareness of the College.
Responsibilities
Create and manage visual assets including web design and digital campaigns that enhance engagement and drive awareness of the College.
Design digital assets and printed materials for internal and external advertising, including mailers, website content, large format prints, web and social media ads, and motion graphic animations.
Improve website designs, WCAG compliance, and UI/UX enhancements as well as analyze website and marketing data for SEO and user engagement improvements.
Work with internal team to leverage project management systems to streamline design and production workflows.
Create and maintain brand identity across all marketing materials.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and execute advertising campaigns.
Conduct A/B testing and iterative design improvements for digital assets.
Provide training and documentation on WordPress website management for staff.
Support rapid‑turnaround design projects, ensuring consistency with institutional branding.
Ensure ADA compliance for digital and print content.
Contribute to social media content strategy, including profile branding and targeted ad designs.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree required with emphasis in graphic design, marketing or related field; bachelor’s degree in graphic design, website design, marketing, or programming preferred.
Demonstrated success in graphic design, digital advertising, website design, UI/UX, and AI.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
Experience with WordPress, SEO, and web accessibility compliance (ADA/WCAG).
Experience with project management tools and digital marketing platforms.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong project management skills, interpersonal, presentation, collaboration, and oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to relate to people of all ages, races, and social‑economic backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to operate office technology, software, & equipment.
Ability and willingness to upgrade skills including technology or process changes.
