Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a

Senior Master Scheduler & Graphic Designer (SME)

to support high‑visibility initiatives for a DoD surge project based in

Pentagon/Arlington, VA . This is a

contract, onsite

role requiring the ability to operate with precision and speed in a mission‑critical environment supporting senior DoD leadership. As a dual‑capability SME, you will play a pivotal role in both

complex program scheduling

and

executive‑level visual communications , ensuring leadership receives accurate, timely, and visually compelling decision support materials.

Key Responsibilities Master Scheduling (Primary – 50%)

Develop and maintain integrated master schedules using

MS Project

and/or

Primavera P6

for the DoD Client programs.

Conduct

critical path analysis , resource leveling, and schedule risk assessments.

Coordinate with program managers and functional leads to validate dependencies, durations, and milestones.

Generate schedule variance reports and identify delays, conflicts, or emerging risks.

Lead schedule integration meetings and cross‑functional working sessions.

Maintain schedule baselines and track changes via formal change‑control processes.

Integrate schedule data into executive‑level visual materials (timelines, milestone charts, dashboards).

Graphic Design & Visual Communications (Primary – 50%)

Create executive-ready briefings, one‑pagers, infographics, and senior leader decision materials.

Design organizational charts, workflow diagrams, financial management visuals, and dashboards.

Develop branded templates and style guides for DoD Client communication products.

Translate complex program data into clear, compelling graphics tailored to senior Army audiences.

Support rapid‑turnaround deliverables for senior leadership engagements.

Maintain a visual asset library and documentation repository within

SharePoint .

Ensure compliance with DoD branding standards and documentation protocols.

Requirements

Active Secret Clearance

Expert proficiency in

MS Project

and/or

Primavera P6 .

Advanced proficiency in

Adobe Creative Suite

(InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and

PowerPoint .

Strong understanding of project management methodologies and critical path analysis.

Demonstrated ability to create executive‑quality visual products.

Outstanding communication skills for senior DoD/ARMY audiences.

Ability to work onsite in

Arlington, VA

and operate in a small, collaborative team.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Business, or related field.

8+ years combined experience in project scheduling and graphic design, preferably supporting DoD or federal programs.

Proven experience developing/maintaining complex schedules for large programs.

Professional design portfolio required.

PMP certification preferred; Adobe design certifications a plus.

Experience with Army programs, DoD financial management, or audit readiness highly desirable.

Previous surge support or short‑term engagement experience a plus.

Compensation to include:

Salary Range:

$60/hr - $80/hr *based on experience*
