We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and creative
Social Media Marketing Manager & Content Creator
to lead and elevate our beauty brand’s digital presence. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands the beauty space deeply, and can both develop strategy and execute high-performing content.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who knows what needs to be done without being micromanaged. You are confident on camera, comfortable behind the camera, and capable of building content systems that drive engagement, brand awareness, and sales. You understand that social media moves quickly—and you move with it.
Position Overview In this role, you will own and drive the brand’s content strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms. You will create compelling, high-quality short-form video content, host live sessions, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure that the brand maintains a consistent, elevated, and engaging presence online.
This role is based in our NYC office and requires in-person filming, collaboration, and content production.
Key Responsibilities Content Creation & On-Camera Presence
Create high-quality short-form video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels showcasing products, storytelling, and brand personality
Film beauty tutorials, product demonstrations, transformations, “get ready with me” videos, lifestyle content, and behind-the-scenes clips
Develop polished, on-brand visuals in-office using studio setups or mobile production tools
Serve as an on-camera personality when needed and confidently represent the brand
Live Selling & Engagement
Host regular LIVE sessions on TikTok, Whatnot, and other emerging platforms
Drive product education, engagement, and conversions during live events
Collaborate with the team to plan live launches, promotions, and special campaigns
Analyze live performance metrics and refine approach accordingly
Strategy & Content Planning
Develop weekly and monthly content strategies aligned with company goals
Generate creative concepts, scripts, and outlines for consistent content output
Stay ahead of TikTok and Instagram trends to ensure content remains fresh and culturally relevant
Build and execute structured content calendars with measurable objectives
Track engagement metrics and adjust content strategy based on performance insights
Collaboration & Leadership
Participate in brainstorming sessions and pitch innovative ideas for new content formats, recurring series, and storytelling approaches
Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure consistent brand messaging
Provide creative direction and feedback to maintain brand consistency
Help establish best practices and scalable systems for long-term growth
Qualifications
Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and live commerce platforms
Proven experience creating viral or high-performing short-form content
Comfortable and confident appearing on camera
Strong storytelling and scripting skills
Ability to identify and capitalize on trends quickly
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple content streams simultaneously
Experience building and managing content calendars
Basic knowledge of video editing tools (CapCut, Final Cut, Premiere Pro, or similar)
Analytical mindset with ability to interpret social performance metrics
