EG&R provides electrical engineering and contracting services for a variety of markets including government, utilities/power, waste to energy companies, transit agencies, manufacturing industries, pharmaceuticals, A-E firms/Architects, and various types of commercial clients.
EG&R Engineering is seeking a Physical Layout Designer with Substation / Power experience to serve as an integral part of a talented team.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include working with a team of Electrical Engineers and Design drafters to generate Electrical layout drawings for High Voltage Substations and / or Power Plants.
Responsibilities will include preparing the following drawings for substation or power plant facilities:
General Arrangement
Electrical Equipment Plans
Conduit/Cable Schedules
Electrical Details – Section views and elevations
Bill of Material
Conduit / Raceway Plans / Cable Tray/ Underground Ductbank
Lighting, Grounding, Power, Heat Tracing, etc
Perform facility / substation walkdowns
Following client’s standards
Qualifications and Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States. We do not provide Visa Sponsorship.
Previous work experience as Physical Designer in the Power Industry (substations / power plants)
Experience in 3D Modeling Plant 3D and/or Revit
Experience using AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
The applicant must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to be part of a project team
